3 Day Painting the Portrait with Susan and Scott

3-Day Painting Workshop with Susan Lyon & Scott Burdick / “Painting the Portrait”

Each morning Susan and Scott will demonstrate painting the portrait from life for 3 hours. In the afternoon students will paint from the same model and Susan will walk around and give each person personal critiques while Scott paints along with the class. Students will get to see how Scott finishes a portrait to completion. Scott will also offer advice while he paints in the afternoon and help students with their work on breaks.  We will have a different pose for each day, the class will focus on getting the correct drawing and value relationships while working from a life model. Having a different pose each day allows the students to try a different angle of the head to practice from.
