"Salem Scale Study" oil 9" by

This is a small study I did to work out all the problems for a larger version of
this subject. Tamia is the model and she works at Old Salem near us here in NC.
Old Salem is the original Moravian settlement of Winston-Salem and many of the
old buildings have been restored and are used by people like Tamia to reenact
that way of life. They make their own clothes, cook, clean, etc. in the manner
of the past. Tamia is dressed just as she would have been as a domestic slave of
the time.
